JKPCC presents Rs. 1.43 cr dividend cheque to CM
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 22 – The Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC) today presented a cheque of Rs. 1,43,07,500 as interim dividend for 2010-11 to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah on Wednesday.The cheque was presented to the Chief Minister by Managing Director of the Corporation, M. M. Gupta.The Chief Minister expressed hope that the Corporation would further enhance its operational capability and profitability.Present on the occasion were Principal Secretary Finance, Mohammad Iqbal Khandey, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, B. TAC suggests severe punishment for overloading in vehicles
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 22- Reconstituted State Transport Advisory Committee (TAC) met here today under the chairmanship of Minister for Transport Mr Qamar Ali Akhoon and deliberated on various issues related to regulation of traffic system in the State.After threadbare discussions on wide ranging issues, TAC suggested severe punishment against those who indulge in overloading in both goods carriage and passenger vehicles. The  meeting further suggested that licenses shall be issued only to those who get training from 59 government registered Driving Training Institutes.  It was also given out that the center has agreed to establish State of Art Driving Training Institute over 100 kanals of land one each in Kashmir and Jammu provinces. 2300 cr. for the state under IWMP :Sagar

Omar directs executing agencies for time bound execution of projects
